Chasing Clouds

Ever since I was a sophomore in college, I had the idea of a series that captured the essence of those fluffy, colorful puffs in the sky. I started taking photos of clouds when I was a kid and have since created a large reference pool of images.

I originally wanted to create realistic clouds but found myself developing them abstractly. It was a freedom in painting I had not experienced since high school. 

Finishing this series was such a huge accomplishment and self fulfilling moment for me in my art career, especially when I got to display them at a coffee shop. This was my first time putting my work up in public; it was super exciting, and meant even more that it was my Cloud Series that made it on the wall. I do plan on continuing this series over the years so follow my Instagram to cloud watch with me!
